A busy couple weeks!

Well,
there goes my goal of updating every week.
We actually got a phone call a couple days after I updated,
and told us we were moving to....
are you ready.?

JOPLIN, MISSOURI

I was actually really excited,
and then.. I realized..
its in the heart of
tornado alley.

I am not going to lie,
I might have had a little small tiney winey tear
in my eye..
Who would want to live in tornado alley?
Well, actually I guess a lot of people..
because people really live here.
haha.

(Kruz actually did very well on the drive.)

So, we had to hurry and pack up,
(story of my life.. haha.)
and were on the road.
We got here on a Friday night,
and I was looking forward to actually having
Fieldings help to unpack, and get everything homey.

Boy was I wrong, which made me even more bummed.
We got there, and our new apartment had an overly yucky smell.
But, we held our heads up high and I told myself I would just use a lot of scentsys..
Then, about 10 minutes into carrying everything in,
Kruz started getting a runny nose and coughing.
He wasn't sick at all during the move, so of course I was like
WHAT THE HECK!

Anyways, turns out..
He was way allergic to that place.
Which we are guessing that place is covered in mold because
thats what the overwhelming smell smelt like, and that
is one of the only things Kruz is allergic to
other than some type of tree in the south..

So, of course we were out of there right when
Kruz started throwing up mucous..
Which put our butts in a hotel until I could find another apartment..
FAR away from that one. haha.

So, my car was still loaded so Kruz and I sat in a hotel,
and it was BORING!
I was super excited to get the keys to a new place.

Our new place has tornado shelters,
So hopefully we will be protected during this tornado season.
We had to wait a couple days for our furniture, but after that we were set..

Oh and Kruz has a queen bed now.
Ever since we moved here,
he has actually slept like a DREAM!
And, I was finally able to get my dream bedding for his bedroom.
Dont you love it?
I love the pirate theme!

We have actually been in Joplin for 3 weeks now,
but have been living here for about 2 weeks now. :)

I actually like it here a lot.

The Saturday after we moved in was Easter weekend.
It was actually our first Easter without family and friends.
it was actually a little depressing.
but, I tried to make it a good Easter for my boys..
We hit up an easter egg hunt at our new church,
which Kruz absolutely loved!

On Sunday,
of course the easter bunny came,

We went to church, and then came home and
I made a nice easter dinner,
made my first ham ever, made my first twice baked potatoes, corn,
jello, and rolls,
and was supposed to make peach cobbler but after all that food
we were about to EXPLODE!

After Easter,
Monday we had a storm and Fielding couldn't work in it,
So we decided that would be a great day to start Kruz' swim lessons.
Oh my heck,
so its a mommy and me class so of course this lovely body has to be in a swim suit..
Which is probably the smelliest thing about it,
but hey,
Kruz had fun..
He didn't want to do some of the activities they wanted him to do,
but I am hoping that after awhile we will see big improvements.
He had fun, and it was awesome that Fielding got to come and experience it with us.
But he "forgot" to take pictures, so I will be hopefully taking some tomorrow.

On Tuesday,
I brought Kruz to the public library here to do a movers and shakers class..
Wow, was that a nightmare. Little kids (about 50 of them, and parents)
were running around SCREAMING, KICKING, AND HITTING.
and of course the parents were all just sitting there watching it, while laughing..
So, we only lasted about 3 minutes, and I was running out of there FAST!
So, we definitely wont be doing that..

So I am in the process of finding something for Kruz to do that will keep him busy.
Right now we just go on LOTS of walks.

and we play on the balcony QUITE A BIT.. haha
even in our jammies at 7 am.

Yesterday, we decided to just go on a drive and try to find an SUV
that had a third row seat and 4WD,
and of course Fielding had to have leather (black) and a sunroof.
Because Fielding has a company truck,
and its impossible to try to move with 3 cars..
Well, we found a couple,
and they actually were really nice..
But they all had pinstripes, and well..
I HATE PINSTRIPES ON CARS!
I felt like vomiting and was about to order one in when I saw this..

It had black leather seats,
sunroof,
dvd player,
4WD,
3rd row seats,
has a new car smell...
and its a HONDA.

So, we are the proud new owners of a 2014 Honda Pilot.
I definitely have to get used to the color, but Fielding really likes it,
so hey.. Whatever.

I actually love it even more everytime I drive it.
It can definitely stay in the Davis family for awhile. :)

Also, of course at the Honda dealership they had some honda motorcycles,
and used Harley Davidsons..
So of course Fielding had his eyeballs ALL over them.

and Kruz' hands were all over them, if you couldn't guess.

I dont really know what else to update you on,
So we will leave it at this..
But hopefully this next week wont be so crazy and I can sit down and share everything.
I dont know how moms can blog all the time..
I feel super exhausted every night that if I blogged it would just be a mess.
So, enjoy. :)
