Our New Home.. Gonzales, Louisiana :)

Well, I will start where we left off.
Here are the pictures of the finished dome,
in Chattanooga, TN.

Fielding was up in the crane basket
and got a picture from up there for you all to see :)

This is inside the dome with all the sprayed concrete.

Isn't it cool how it swirls?
I Love it.

There is the tile they had to lay.
all the dents in the top far just from foot prints.

Pretty awesome.. Huh?

Alright.. Now to Louisiana..
We woke up at 5
and packed everything into the car,
and were on our way by 5:30.

We drove through Georgia..
but only for a little bit..

Then we drove through
Alabama..

As you can see,
I was quite bored :)

Then we drove through
Mississippi..

And finally..
We ended up in Louisiana..

When we pulled into Louisiana
it was really pretty at first..

Palm trees are like freaking paradise,
But.. Most of the highway through New Orleans
were like this.. Where you drove on a bridge for most the drive.

It was pretty cool.
but then I saw this..

I am not trying to be negative..
But most of the damage from Katrina is still there.
and how long ago was Katrina.
Its just sad..
but.. we finally got to move into our house,
and our friends brought us to the store
so we could buy a tv and some groceries.
:) It is great having friends near by again.

.. here is the pictures some of you asked for..
OUR APARTMENT :) :) :)

Our cute little door. :)

When you walk through the front door,
you come to a million and a half stairs..

At the top of the stairs you see this.
Sorry about all the vacuum filters on the counter..
I had to clean them this morning.

and.. this is the other side of the kitchen.

Through the doors you see in the kitchen is this..
(you like how my washer doesn't have a knob..
They are still in the process of fixing it :) )

and.. on the other side of the room.

If you come up the stairs
and turn left you run into our family room.
Sorry for the huge mess by the tv.
We are going to buy an entertainment center
this weekend :)
Oh.. and sorry for the whole vacuum thing.. :)

and our balcony. :)

Our view from the balcony of our lake..

Our dining room, and our wax hands from Canada :)

Our bedroom.. It's pretty dark..
Sorry,
Also, the sheets are off the bed
because someone in coming in to paint the ceiling..

Our bedroom again :)

The bathroom..

This is what you see when you walk in :)

Fieldings side.. :)

My side of course.. :)

This is our swimming pool :)
and hot tub.

and our work out room..

and.. we also have a putting green
and a car wash,
but I haven't been there to take pictures.. :)
So, I hope you like it.
Oh, and I am putting decorations up
in a couple weeks,
so our walls wont be so plain :)

Tennessee in a Nut Shell

Its our last couple days here :)
While we were here we got to see such amazing things.
We actually went and saw a place called Ruby Falls.
It was actually on the Border of Tennessee and Georgia.
We went underground and
saw all these cool nature made formations,
and at the end of the hike,
we saw a huge waterfall falling from the rocks above.

We also got the chance to see Rock City.
It was an awesome beautiful experience.
You actually walk on this trail
and a few times you have to squeeze between tight rocks.
But it takes you up the mountain so you can see 7 states.
Along the way you see all these cool rock formations.

The picture above is a waterfall at Rock City
that you actually climb the mountain and cross over.

This part of Tennessee is really pretty, and worth seeing.
I would recommend it to everyone if they are in this part of the country. :)

We got to see our first live bald eagle up close also,
IT WAS AWESOME..
and they have such pretty eyes.
I am now very thankful
we have such a beautiful bird to be our national bird.
instead of what it was going to be..
A TURKEY!

the above picture is not one that I took,
I only photo edited..
but wanted to show you how pretty their eyes really are..
mama mia. :)

We went to see the Tennessee Aquarium.
We heard it was #1 in the nation.
But it wasn't all that great.
We had a great time of course though. :)

How cool is this sidewalk :)

On our walk to the aquarium,
we saw a way cool brick bench.
IT WAS AWESOME!
and of course, I HAD to take a picture of it :)

We also had to drive downtown a couple of times.
It was kind of old,
but it was really cool
because some buildings were way awesome.
like for example:

We thought it was cool how it was named "Dome Building"..
That's our building :)
I didn't get the top of the building
because I was trying to get the words..
but you cant even read it..
If you wanna try its in-between the stop lights :)

Also, Fielding would kill me
if I didn't post pictures of the dome..
sooo..

I dont have any pictures of it finished yet..
But where you see the wood squares,
they took those off
and are now laying tile over the two colors.
I am sure Fielding will make me post the final pictures.
Yep that is about it in a nut shell :)
We will post about our drive to Louisiana
when we get there.
